are you being true to yourself?

do you stand firm on your view? do you have distinct likes and dislikes? are you showing them to people, and most importantly yourself?

even though people with a strong and distinct personality might not be one of my best friends, nevertheless, i feel safe around them. in the sense that, i know what would they think and they would share their opinion openly. it doesn't matter whether we would agree on the same thing in the end, but at least you know they wouldn't disagree with you in the dark and keep some facts to themselves. thats what safe in this case means to me..

do you have true friends?

true friends are not the same as best friends. you don't spend every single moment doing things together, but they wouldn't knock u down with a rock in desperate times. to me, its more important to have true friends than best friends. I don't need someone to be there for me 24/7, don't need to chat with someone always, don't need someone to remember me always, don't need someone to just hang out with. but i would rather have someone that wouldn't hide or lie to me, its ok to keep some things to yourself ( who doesn't have secrets? ;), but wouldn't someone who purely wants to be your friend and be not afraid to say out things that might make me unhappy if its really true, be a great friend to keep? i think i have true friends, thats you who are nodding to this post :D

i would definitely be yours always truly friend...
