BANGKOK!

oh my, its already my 7th time there! Maybe I should give up counting already eh, lets just call it my another home, haha! But then again, it isn't very appropriate to say so afterall, because all 7 times were spent only in Bangkok, erm okay, it includes a few times in Pattaya and up in some rural mountain, but still! no phuket no chiangmai, I can't say I know Thailand very well right?!

I don't know if it is because its really a short flight or I have already gotten used to long hours flight, this time, the flight felt damn short to me. Its like plane took off... meal served.. wine drank.. tada.. time to touch down! I didn't visit the loo at all!

My first time at the new bkk airport, sur... surva.. argh, the name is too long and hard to remember, not to mention pronounce!
Took turns to take photo while queuing at the immigration. So who's photoshoot skill is better?
We stayed at Arnoma Hotel, right opposite ZEN central world, with Pratunam and Siam Paragon 10 minutes walk away. Location is damn good, so good that I kept running away to shop on my own! hehe~
Oh and yes, I remembered to knock on the door and placed my shoes in a disorganized fashion to ward off dirty stuff after hearing so much hotel stories recently :S

Since I already self-claimed to be QUITE familiar with BKK, I was put in charge of planning the itinerary.. and that means MORE SHOPPING, LESS SIGHT-SEEING, or in fact I did plan a balance lah, but we didn't make it in the end :P
But But But, who can resist and hate shopping in bkk right? :D

Since my last trip 2 years ago there, there are indeed some changes in bkk, like the mobile number code and best shopping haunt (more details later), but some things never and should NEVER change! thats the taste of thai food!

The best thai food is always the cheapest roadside stall! oh my, totally rock my world!!! like that wanton mee, that mango glutinuous rice, that duck noodle and that mixed pig intestine soup, gosh, I am missing them already!!! I can't tell you how much I love thai roadside food, except that if I am given a choice to choose shopping or eating in bkk, i would choose eating! ya, thats how much I love the food there!
my crazy last night there was spent eating non-stop at chinatown from noodles to soup to durian to bird nest to toasted bread with a fren, see see see, ARE YOU TEMPTED?
oh that a word of advice, NEVER, i repeat, NEVER, let the taxi driver drives you to his recommended restaurant to dine-in, your head would just get chopped and all ur pockets would be emptied, yesh speaking from experience =(

Always love night markets because I am really a night person and I have that patience if time allows, to walk through all alleys and slowly dig for 'gold'. Plus, that kind of ambiene is less stressful than walking in shopping malls, easy and can bargain!
Suan Lum Night Bazaar used to be my No. 1 choice night market, but no longer! the price went up and the variety went down!
In fact, now I prefer Khao San night market, the well-known backpackers area! Plenty roadside vendors selling pad thai, though i didn't try, and many many clothes stores. Oh and very interesting open-air stores selling beer-in-bucket, with ang mohs sitting on plastic stools in a circle. didn't notice that before, so maybe thats new?! No pic on that but each kids beach sand size bucket of beer cost like SGD $5, dirt cheap eh?
Platinum mall was highly recommended to me by a few friends, so I ran out early in the morning during our day of departure to go have a look. And yes I fall in love with it! Even though not all stores were open already, I managed to grab some stuffs! yay!
Take a deep breath first.. after managing to read so much, time for photos!
yups, our one and only sight-seeing. Ya in a shopping mall, but still counted what!
Crabby, I wanna eat youuu!!
Proper name: Giant Spider Crab

No no, this is not a hermit crab!
Proper name: Nautilus
the greatest sea shell creature *if i didn't remember wrongly from my Biodiversity course :X*

Proper name: Porcupine fish
Sorry I failed to agitate them, but I admit, to begin with, I don't even know if they would erect their spikes or not also, hehe~

*wish this could be the fish tank in my house and I could turn into a mermaid as and when i like to swim with them*

Thats a starfish, felt like a stone though.
do you know? starfish can regenerate lost limbs!

Mr Shark giving me a big smile for the camera!
No worries, this guy is big in size but kind in heart, he is a vegetarian!

Do you know? Sharks have at least 4 rows of teeth, they wear and tear easily such that the new rows are there to replace the old ones readily, and yes, new teeths are always forming, no need for dentures! (click on photo to enlarge for illustration)

Diver feeding the stingray, it was so naughty to cover the diver using its big blanket size body so that other fishes couldn't come near to food, all for itself!

*tell me how can you eat so much yet stay so slim!*

For educational purpose. Familiar cycle learnt in Biodiversity course ;)
Referring to the above cycle, these are all polyps, baby jellyfish!

Last Activity in Siam Ocean World, and Last photo in this posting, yawnzzz~~
Boat ride round the aquarium! Felt special to be able to do this, because the aquarium area felt like the backstage area which is restricted to me, but no no! This ride comes with the package together with the Ocean World ticket! Those are the guides in the picture, interesting facts learnt!
p.s. Would be returning to Bangkok next month, but ar, no.. no time to even go out and eat Tom Yum Soup, just 2 hours of transiting to be spend there =((( extra frownzz
